If she worked the whole year, and did well, there is no reason she shouldn’t also be included in the Christmas bonus.
She worked just under 3/4 of the year.

As an associate, you wouldn't get a bonus if you put in notice. Why treat staff differently?
Frankly, it does not make sense to me that you would deny someone a bonus (who would otherwise be eligible for one) simply because they put in notice. People leave jobs often and for many unknown reasons. Leaving the job does not make the work they did at their time with the firm any less valuable. So, I would say give any associate giving notice a bonus too.
Also, 2020 has been a very hard year for everyone. And staff make notably less money than attorneys do — making ends harder to meet. Grace and compassion is always remembered and appreciated.
She’s quitting the firm? Yeah I’m with you. No gift then from you. You don’t have to give to anyone so leave her out
