Welcome OP, you’re making a great choice! There’s been something to motivate me at every phase:
Phase 1: Seeing the rapid loss on the scale felt exhilarating, even if it was all water.
Phase 2: Cravings dissipating, which felt unbelievable.
Phase 3: Started feeling energetic all the time.
Phase 4: Finding new keto recipes (you can keto-ize so much!)
Phase 5: These clothes are bigger than I remember ...
Phase 6: Wait, is this scale right?! 😃
27 lbs down since April 1st is what's keeping me motivated!

OP, check out insta posts about Keto. Super motivating for another newbie here! I’m not going to get too creative with food for the first few weeks tbh since it’s already a huge transition for me, but there are a bunch of great looking recipes I’ve flagged for a few weeks from now!
SC1, phases 1-3 correspond to my first 3 months (successively). Phases 4-6 are a continuous cycle. It is still exciting every time there’s a noticeable change.
Looking back, I have no idea how the transition felt so natural. I did firmly avoid artificial sweeteners, which I think helped change my palate.
Maintaining 43 lbs of weight loss is all the motivation I need. The added bonuses of feeling great mentally and not being hungry all the damn time don’t hurt either
