PwC fish (or others with same setup) - Is there anything stopping me from only contributing to 401k with post-tax dollars and then mega backdooring all of it to Roth? If not, are there any cons to doing so?

Nothing stopping you. Only con is not getting a pre-tax deduction on your taxes

You don’t get a match on After Tax 401k. You do get a match in Roth 401k, and it doesn’t require the backdoor. Does PWC have an after tax cap? Accenture sets ours at $15k.

like

I think PwC will still match if you only do after-tax. I haven’t tried it though. I’ve always don’t both pre-tax and post-tax.

PwC used to erroneously match on both pre-tax and post-tax if you did both… I double dipped for a solid 1.5 years, as did a lot of others before they caught on. They then spot audited and recovered some of the money though. I only had to pay back about $80 though. And received a lot more from it.

A1, no, there is no limit on after-tax contributions at PwC. You can max out up to the 415c limit.

like

To confirm, PwC will still match based on after tax contributions with no pre-tax contributions.

Feeling grateful & proud as I reached my goal ($50K by 25) 5 months early. But I can’t help feeling a bit overwhelmed. In the lifelong scheme of things, $50K doesn’t seem like much. I worked really hard and sacrificed a lot (including mental health) to get to this but it seems a little tiring knowing I still have so long to go. I recently moved out and in with my BF so my expenses are split, but nonetheless they are still expenses. Any tips on continuing this journey and keeping the drive?
