It’s fine. If you have concerns, confirm with a peer assoc that the culture doesn’t frown on 2-week vacations. But should be fine with respect to lateral timing.

It’s better to wait longer for a trip of that duration. You’re still making first impressions after 6 months and even if you get approved to take the time off, I guarantee there will still be people who quietly judge you for it. Between the two jobs was the time to take off 2+ weeks.
Depends on context. A lot might say “you’re still leaving an impression! Don’t do it!” but those are the people that end up being somewhere for a year with never taking a break.
Use your vacation days. Try to do it when you’re not too busy (both for the firm’s benefit but also so you don’t risk having your holiday spoiled).
I’d just start to communicate it early and make sure your coverage is all lined up beforehand
We as an industry need to respect people's vacations and let them feel as if they can take their PTO. No one should feel guilty for taking much time needed off. This industry is stressful. Take your damn vacation and unplug. Just make sure people know and remind them closer to the date.
