Recently lost my hearing in one ear (doctors don't know why) and I'm wondering how long I can hide it? Active duty right now.

I don't think this is something you should hide from the military. It could affect your own safety

Don't hide it, it's nothing to be shameful of. You're in the military you don't want to put yourself and others at risk. I am sorry you are dealing with this.

You shouldn't be hiding it because it may cause danger not to yourself but to your comrades too. Be honest about it and accept the consequences of your condition on your duty.

You need to think long term if it isn’t addressed now, you may not have the rating needed later for health care provider to prove it was service connected.

If it happened during your AD time, get it documented for when you have to do your disability ratings. You are on duty 24/7. Depending on your job and time, might be able to retrain. Knew people that wore hearing aids w/o duty problems. Good luck!

Don’t hide it, go get it checked out. I’ve seen multiple AD individuals with hearing aids

My psychiatrist today revealed to me that I may have ADHD, still a hypothesis that he is still exploring but from my personal experiences and discussions with therapist, it seems likely.

One example of personal experience is my ongoing prep for case studies as I'm interviewing with a number of firms. I do struggle to keep focus and generally take a bit longer to finish them, specifically the structuring of the case. Does anybody else feel the same way and any recommendations to overcome this?

Hi everyone, I’m seeking some advice - my dog (8yrs old) was attacked several months ago by another dog and after she became depressed and anxious. We got her anti depression meds and those seemed to help but how a lot now a lot of signs are pointing to a potential brain tumor. To get an MRI is +1k. My mom doesn’t want to spend money but it just hurts me so much to see the behavior - she walks around in constant circles, looks sad, seizures, hides under the bed. Any advice would be appreciated.

Not even sure if I should ask for accommodations to continue being able to wfh at least most days of the week to reduce risk. Idkkkk 😩This is so unprecedented. I always wear my mask at work. My last therapist keeps coming up in my mind. I left her when I moved to a new area before COVID dug in and frankly it felt like leaving a girlfriend. She also disclosed in the final session that she was a member of AA and knew several of the people I occasionally discussed from the rooms. Her knowledge of the program certainly built trust with me early on, but it has been two years. I discussed it with my current therapist but she’s still in there. Any advice?

I work with a junior PM who is not performing. Not my report, we share a mgr, but as a senior PM I lead the product. He can’t finish anything, needs a lot of coaching, I give him 2h/wk but I can’t afford more.
After 2mos I raised it to our mgr who promised to work with him. 2 more mos passed, mgr talked to him only once, no change in perf. I think mgr doesn’t want to deal with the problem. Now they ask if I want to manage JPM. It is going to be a ‘no’ but I want to ask some advice on all this.
