DFW area - when will the rain stopppppp?

PwC A recruiter from PWC reached out to me to ask if I’d consider a different office the one I applied to, since it’s full. It would be Boston, Hartford, Chicago, Minneapolis, Little Rock, Denver, San Francisco or San Jose. MSA candidate. Is there a fully remote option? Do you have to be in the office all the time? Is the compensation high at PWC? Is there a possible moving expenses? Any insight or advice would help me make a decision. Thank you!

BCG1, appreciate the offer but wrong company.
I haven't personally lived there, but I worked in San Antonio for a while and my wife's family lives there, so I visit frequently. Best advice I can give would be to to keep in mind that it's a much different style of living and pace of life...especially compared to Chicago. It's not bad, just much different. The majority of people will be different too. Again, not bad, just different than what ur used to.
Specifically, has anyone made a similar move to San Antonio recently? What has been your experience?
If you're going to USAA I probably know your future boss. He is making a similar move. Happy to put you in touch if helpful.
D1, do elaborate please? I've visited Dallas a few times and think I have a feel for the people, but additional info would be awesome
Texas people just tend to move at a different speed. Especially on the weekends. Everything is just a bit slower. It's not really bad, just takes some adjusting to. There are a lot of "Sunday drivers" on Sundays, as in there are folks that are just moseying around after church on the way to lunch or somewhere else. Get used to pick up trucks too. On the plus side, the people are a lot more courteous than city folk
Dallas people are considerably different than San Antonio too. Also prepare yourself for a lot of hispanics. I'm always shocked by how many hispanics there are near the heart of San Antonio. No, I'm not racist and have nothing against them, it's just surprising to see SOOO many of them
All that being said, if the money were right, I'd make that move. Cost of living and housing is excellent
Ah, got it. Be prepared for more balance in 'work life balance' :) Appreciate the advice, D1. I lived in a nearby state for a couple of years and agree - much friendlier. LOL @ Sunday drivers.
San Antonio has a ton of the restaurants that Austin has and really awesome activities for young kids. Your family should love it.
