Allow it to come up in conversation with the 1-2 people you're closest to, and rely on the office grapevine to spread the word.
Tbh good advice. Let others tell others so you’re not in an awkward position
I wouldn't tell them anything to be honest. People can be very invasive. When they ask you about your husband just be short saying "it's good"
Oof this is a tough one. I'm sorry you're going through and having to work at the same time. Maybe let them know that you're no longer comfortable discussing your family life at work? I know either way it's an uncomfortable conversation to have to have. Best of luck
How far are you into the papers? If you have more than 4 months left (by estimation) I might wait until its closer to being more official. You could also say you're separating and maybe a small sentence why
Think about how sharing this information might affect your work relationships and your ability to do your job effectively. If you think it might negatively impact your work or distract you, it may be best to keep it private.
If it comes up in conversation, use your discretion about how much you want to reveal, but generally say less rather than more.
Unless the person is interested, you trust them, and you're comfortable discussing or need the support, don't go into detail. Basically, reserve your grievances for therapy or the 1-2 friends you truly trust.
I only mentioned it when someone asked. I just reply, "It didn't work out." It's really no ones business what happens in your life. I've reached a stage in my life where I don't care what other people think for the first time.
I would say when they ask about him you should tell them that you're getting a divorce and share that you don't want to really talk about it because if you don't say anything they well keep bringing it up and I'm sure that's going to be a trigger for you on the daily
Ehhh this is so tough, but I would say if you're going to be working there long term It's going to come out anyway so you might as well get a head of the situation. You don't have to go into detail. You can tell as little or as much as you want.
Tell them but be very consistent with your boundaries. If they keep asking you about him or the divorce tell them that you don't want to talk about it then just start walking away if they don't respect your boundaries
Its completely up to you. When you tell them in the process is up to you as well. You could even tell them after the fact. You just have to decide what feels right for you.
