I applied with EY for a Senior Manager role I had my first stage interview with a senior manager, which I thought went well as I got the partner interview 2 weeks later, and said I'll be contact within 10 day HR. This did not happen so I chased up. Today I received feedback from HR stating that the senior manager, who would have been my peer, said I didn't have enough experience. But the partner who I would have been working under did like me.
Is this normal with EY recruitment

I had a interview with the partner where in the last few minutes he mentioned they are taking their time with the process and a final decision might be made a month or two from now so I shouldn’t be discouraged if I don’t hear back for some time. I first submitted an application a month ago. What could this be about?EY

Do anyone know about any HR ops vacancy?
I’m job hunting in Los Angeles, looking at a variety of titles (HRBP, Sr. HRBP, Manager, Sr. Manager, Director). I have 8 YOE and my SHRM-SCP. I reached my report limit on payscale.com, so I used a variety of other sites to price the roles (BLS, salary.com, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Robert Half). The problem I’m having is the huge inconsistencies between sources (there are $40k differences between some of the identified medians). (Continued…)

Two questions?! That's...not a formal interview. That's hardly even a conversation. Totally bizarre and a waste of your time. Still, good on you for taking the initiative to show up to introduce yourself ahead of time. I've never thought about doing this since it seems so old fashioned, but the fact you got an interview after (albeit a very underwhelming one) makes me think it could have made a difference.
I thought it was so crazy!!!! I'm a bit old school and I like face to face interaction. When I told my friend, he said I got the job because the lady asked when I can start and how much I was looking to get paid...
She should've hired me on the spot because I have another interview now much, much closer to home at a rate I'm willing to work for. Lol WISH ME LUCK!
