You get unlimited vacation right away. Pec also pays out unused vacation - obviously a downside if you leave EY there is not payout. Vault had the Big 4 ranked dame as last year with PwC 1, DT 2, KPMG 3, and EY 29. So please don’t think the culture is better it is not and have talked to others. But it may still be the best move for you
EY hasn't participated in Vault surveys in like 5-6 years
i think you should negotiate or ask for a sign on bonus, based on what I know if you join after April you won’t get into the round table this year (no promotion/raise/bonus) but still can get some kind bravo rewards.
thank you so much! This is very helpful
Not sure but I’ll refer you. DM me
Just tryna build a better working world
I am trying to switch over to PwC. OP, what's driving away from PwC?
You guys can 69 your way into each other’s roles.
I came to EY a few years ago in august and did not get an October raise
Technically I was S1 for 14 months when I started at ey. I was staff for 1.5 years at the last job so I got “early” title bump when I moved over so didn’t care and wasn’t prepared to jump to S2 anyway
You get unlimited vacation which worth more than any raise
haha sure thing if you use take them 😂. I’ll be leaving PwC with my full vacation balance since I haven’t been able to take any lol
You very likely will not. Your contract will probably say you’ll be eligible next year.
Thank you so much! So does rank stay the same as well? If I join they said I will be S2, so does that mean I’ll still be S2 after October?
I’m sure you won’t. There are a particular number of days you need to work to be eligible. But company wide standard increase based on rank may apply to you if they do it like they did in Jan. All the best!
No you won’t. I am starting at EY next month and my offer letter said I won’t qualify for a raise until October 2022.
I started in August - no raise until following October.
You won't be eligible but that should be taken care of in your starting salary
I’d sooner go to KPMG than EY.
No, promotions are evaluated in July timeframe and you won't have enough experience with your teams for that. If you want higher salary that's something you should work out when negotiating your offer. I know staff that start in July don't get raises in October because it's already factored into their starting salaries.
No you won’t
