Guys , whoever is interviewing and planning to join , do ask project availablity on priority basis before you take decision. On Java front looks like there is some project issue due to recent slowdown in market. My offer was not revised even after agreement with recruiter because of this.

I can tell you KC is a perfectly good city. If youre not some New York snob about it, it really will surprise you how great it is. And Lawrence is the Austin of the midwest—smaller of course but like 45 minutes away. I dont know about the agency, but living there (especially just for a couple of years) shouldnt be something that kills the deal for you. Hope they let you come check it out for an interview. Good luck.
I believe that is the next step! Thanks for the feedback.
KC is a great city...speaking as a native NYer. You can definitely enjoy yourself there
Make sure you fly to the right state.
KC and VMLYR are both in Missouri.
Eh
JonCook actually lives in KC not NY. The global CEO. I heard him speak and he may be the coolest agency CEO I ever met. Why? Because he wasn’t so full of himself. Super smart and Very real. Very approachable. Would be cool to work with him. It’s still WPP so living in KC is not going to hurt you one iota. Just be sure you get to work on what you love. KC is great.. But I like St. Louis a lot more and its only a few hours away. It is the Bible Belt. But it is the Bible Belt with booze. These people can drink!!!
Austin is cool. It’s like the Kansas City of Texas. 🖕🏿
Smoke and mirrors...
What I’ve heard is:
“If you don’t mind living in KC, you can save up some money, beef up your book and get out in 2 years.”
VMLYR 1 Giving OP a preview of the kind people you’ll get to work with there.
I visited KC for the first time last year. Great little city. Good restaurants and decent arts and cultural scene for a small city. Got a bit of an Austin vibe. Lots of transplants from Chicago and Minneapolis.
I know a lot of others have said it, but I love KCMO! Power and Light District is a fun area, the Nelson Atkins Art Museum is actually pretty great, and Midwest people are good people.
I’ve seen all the job openings there recently and wondered if the agency would be any good. Let us know if you take the job! Good luck!
Kansas City is a phenomenal place. And VML will give you connections.
VMLY&R has been on my list for sometime now. I hope it all works out! Thank you 🙏
Coldest winter I ever spent was in KC. Good food and arts vibe. Pockets of cool.
Haven’t been very far north, eh?

Seriously?! Go.
I’m sure you’ll decent work there, but the office is on an airport and Kansas City, in my humble opinion is boring, in a boring state. Saying that, I think all American cities outside of NYC are boring so... For instance, Portland is a boring city, but there is so much fun stuff to do around it. Kansas? Not so much...
