Remember most people in big law are miserable and have no real life experience. Basically privileged folks so take whatever they say like a grain of salt. Plus what people say doesn’t matter because the almighty declares you BLESSED and that ALL that matters.
Try to reframe negative self-talk into more positive and realistic statements. For example, instead of thinking "I'm not good enough," try thinking "I may not know everything, but I'm capable of learning and improving."
And I know there isn’t a shortcut to gaining experience and skill. I’m working hard on that. I’m simply looking for tips on how to not give up and know when to ignore the negative noise that is often times self-inflicted. TY all!
I am having imposter syndrome as well. I feel like I don't deserve my accomplishments and that I have been successful with my practice because of luck. I know it will take time until I will be able to get over this feeling. But it's difficult fighting against yourself.
Take time to reflect on your accomplishments and successes, both inside and outside of work. This can help you build confidence and remind you of your strengths and abilities.
Try to challenge assumptions and beliefs that may be fueling imposter syndrome. For example, instead of assuming that your coworkers think you're a fake, try to recognize that your success is a result of your hard work and qualifications.
Talk to someone: Consider talking to a mentor, friend, or therapist about your feelings. Sharing your thoughts and experiences with someone else can help you gain perspective and feel less alone.
When you start to doubt yourself, try to challenge those thoughts with evidence of your accomplishments and abilities. Ask yourself, "Is this thought based in reality, or is it just my imposter syndrome talking?"

“Feedback” can be false and discriminatory. Personality feedback like “lacks leadership qualities” is often improperly given to BIPOC attorneys. And studies have shown that BIPOC attorneys receive more and harsher markups on their writing.
So be cautious of believing what others say about you. Only you get to decide who you are and what you are capable of.
