Did my GRE a longgg time ago but all the essay topics were published on their site. Just pick random ones, time your self, and practice.

I just used all the official material + the Manhattan book series and spent a ton of time on free forums like beatthegmat, and that was enough to get me a 760 first try.
Essay wasn't included in the official score when I took it so I only spent about an hour of prep on that and got a 6.0. Mostly just read the Manhattan book on it.

You end up getting an MBA? Or still chilling at EY?

TTP

The essay is something most adcoms don't concern themselves with unless you are scoring below a 3. Your score is directly correlated to essay length

Second the Manhattan books! Bought the full set and they were easily the most helpful, ended up with a 780. Essay score is correlated to length so just make sure you write something long lol

I am trying to figure out how to switch to SWE. I have a masters in civil engineering and have a good background in higher level math. It looks like the better coding boot camps are quite expensive. The alternative is another masters in CS which is the same cost as many boot camps. Any recommendations on picking between a coding boot camp and getting another masters degree in CS? I’m looking to get into the best position possible after getting an education in CS (get a job quick and good pay).

Wondering what people think about my situation. I’ve been offered a role with a company. The job description didn’t mention college degree as a requirement. On my CV I have a section listed as “Education” and under it I have “Business Studies” with the university name and the 3 years that I attended the course (2.5 to be exact). It’s a 4 year degree and under this I have my High School equivalent with the years I attended there. The education wasn’t mentioned in the interviews. Continued below.
