What are your thoughts on TQL (Total Quality Logistics) in terms of a sales position?

Dont do it. Only thing you’ll learn at TQL is grit if you dont have it already. In the logistics industry, TQL already has a bad rap and make you work on Saturdays.

like

Have you worked here before?

like

Meat grinder - non compete brutal unless they changed that. I personally have never worked there, but I would be very apprehensive.

like

“Non compete brutal”… I did some research and for a company paying for 6 months of training to learn how to be the best in the business, I can’t blame TQL for having a 1 year non compete that prohibits you immediately ditching and taking the skills elsewhere. Knowledge isn’t free. If you don’t have a personal experience working there, why even put in your two cents?

like

I used to work there. It’s insanely hard and will make you super tough at least. I’d look other places seriously unless you like working all day and Saturday

like

Save your time. I’d look at other options first.

like

Meat grinder but the training is great. I was working 14-16 hours a day running on 4-5 hours of sleep. What broke me was gen I started a segment to prove I can keep my job by maintaining a book my family member died of cancer (4 month battle half the office knew bout it) they told me I could either take time off of I can do my job but I couldn’t the time back needed to advance.

like

I was an LAE there it makes you compromise your morals and in order to pass your 6 month probation they say you have to work for free every other Saturday along with an extra 7hrs of unpaid overtime in order to keep your job. This is not for “your accounts” but to work on other coworkers accounts while they go home. But for me I have to be by my phone 24:7:365.

And when you need to reach out to a broker about THEIR account and the fact that THEY screwed over a truck driver and now their shipment is all effed up, these brokers want to cuss you out. The job was such a scam.

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

Hey FishBowl Friends, so I’m currently trying to break into tech sales/FinTech and I feel that due to my previous work history, I might not look like the ideal candidate on paper but I’m an extremely fast learner and very coachable. I’ve been a manger at a gym, got my degree in finance, worked as a client advisor at a top 3 auto dealer in the nation and now I’m a project manager at a solar company. I really want something that’s remote and steady, any recommendations on how to spruce myself up?
