What busy season? I ended this week with zero billable hours.

No, keep all those hours.

There are way too many staff and not enough seniors.

Breh I've been having 10-20 chargeable hours for the past 1-2 months.. I'm getting so much heat but there's literally no work. I cc managers, seniors, counselor and reach out to different regions. When they have work it's 3 hours max... And they still blaming me.idk wtf to do...

I'm in the same boat.

I'm at the point where if they let me go bec my utilization is low I'll just go to another B4

At least it's happening in all b4. Same thing happening at dt

I'm at 58 for the week, 77 for next week. Want some?

Haha if only. Utilization and the availability of work depends on a lot of factors, it's not that simple.

It's so dumb and I'm actually showing that I'm looking for work. I have emails to prove it

Yep, I completely agree. It's completely out of our control. We can't as staff or seniors go out and generate new work. We only get the cards dealt to us.

Management always finds someone to blame. F them. We all will be able to find a good job if fired anyway.

1.5 hrs as of right now. Ouch.

Not the case here. Staff to senior ratio is jacked up and we could use several more staff.

We need seniors too. 😅

I'll be happy to share some ...

I'm finishing my first year and literally have full utilization even during summertime... I think that if you clique with your team, show that you're really trying and produce quality work that the manager will keep you on all his jobs. That's just my personal experience.

His/her jobs***

KPMG1 is right. A project has to actually be going on (I can't tell you how many times there are long delays because someone or another has to approve/sign the engagement letter), and the project needs someone of your level, skill set, and availability.

So basically the only thing I find appealing about PE is money (judge all you want but I’m sure I’m not alone) - I don’t like excel, or finance, or math. And I just got an offer for a PE role in an industry that I don’t love and with 3 fewer weeks of vacation than my current role (I really value vacation time)... idk would I be a total idiot to pass up the chance to break into PE? Long term goal is to marry rich and retire young lol.

What does a career coach do? Does it help at all for people on the junior level? I feel at a loss with the job search atm

Am I the only person who hates receiving an “I need to meet with you in my office” email? Can we at least include pertaining to __________? Some of us have anxiety, and I feel like this is the equivalent to a “We need to talk” text message. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Would you rather be a partner at MBB/b4 or take a cxo level role with unicorn startup like snowflake or stripe? And why? (there is no 3rd option). Age / location / industry / culture / wlb etc is not relevant!!

What is the average time you take to make a decision after receiving a formal job offer letter? The day of, 2-3 days, a week? Told my recruiter to give me 1-2 days to just think it through with my family and she comes back saying she doesn’t know what to tell the hiring managers and says that she will assume that I am interviewing at other places. The recruiter has been very pushy and demanding from the beginning and I just don’t know what to make of it. Advice?
