What is really happening with sales compensation at AWS? I've heard base comp is only $105K, yet some are banking $1M+ per year in total comp. There seems to be a very wide disparity based on assigned accounts. Don't need to lecture me on performance (I've been in the game long enough to have $700K years, so I get that). Many reps have left, which is a red flag for such an otherwise healthy growing company. If you are an AWS AE, what's the reality here?

Reality is base is around there (location dependent) but it's very cultural and intense (think Oracle in 2000s). And I've been told, when you go into an internal meeting be prepared to scream at each other.

It's very much either you sell the product (200% minimum of your target) or you build the product (long nights and some weekends).

Basically a lot of reps are probably suffering from burnout. I have four friends that work as AWS AE (95k to $145k base dependent on location and account sizes). Someone who works there now can probably speak better about it.

Chatted with a recruiter for a PM role, he quoted a 150K base salary with equity being around 75% of base. Does this mean that equity is expected to be ~112K each year, or is it 28K each year given a 4 year vest?

I am writing this message besides the staff group of EY GDS. Specifically Staff -1 at assurance level. I would request everyone to spare few minutes and read it -

Wanted to bring out that staff-1's are paid peanuts (3.33L CTC) please don't expect them to slog 12-13 hours. They don't have enough motivation or incentives to work that long. Seniors,AM's and Managers should be more kind and explain the work to them clearly rather than making last minute changes.

My company is giving me a reimbursement while I go to school. It’s capped to induce me to study part time. I decided to go full time. Pay the difference out of pocket so I can graduate quicker. I have been working as a manufacturing engineer tech for 4 years without a degree but this May I will get my bachelors in Mechanical Eng. Currently making 63k a year, hourly. What should I ask for when I graduate? Living in Southern Pennsylvania.

Need a sanity check here.

When I joined my current company, we were on a quarterly bonus structure with guaranteed payouts each quarter. This was, in fact, how the recruiter said he could meet my salary request.

The company just announced we are moving to annual payouts only, with no payments for 2023 until May 2024. There are no raises happening.

This amounts to 12% less money in my pocket in 2023 plus inflation.

Is this standard, or should I be looking for opportunities elsewhere?

Hi team ,
I resigned and my last working day was last day of month .
The company KPMG was suppose to deduct my joining bonus and other things in final settlement. Last working day was last day of month , which means i got full salary.
What they will do in final settlement? Will they ask me to pay separately? I have resigned and joined another organisation. Any one knows what will happen ?

Read that McK is paying 2K higher than BCG this year which means BCG will probably raise again next year to at least match. However, they can’t just copy McK with 2K to match because that would look bad so they’ll have to beat it again. Then McK and Bain will follow. Barring a devastating recession, I’m guessing this means MBB is all getting raises again next year?

I have been giving a few interviews lately and every Company is asking me to confirm if i can get my NP reduced from 90 Days to 45 or 60 Days. I'm still under probation but assigned to a Project already. Should I ask my Account Manager and HR about it or its unethical to do so. Am i making a mistake to ask and confirm about NP even before my offer letter or its ok to just enquire what's the process and possibility to reduce NP as we have buyout option too.
