These guys at my firm seem to have the same high school mentality and style of jokes.

OR circulating nurse here. Will preface this by saying I have the utmost respect for CSFAs in the OR setting. However, wondering if any other OR RN’s have had issues with CSFAs feeling and acting like they are in charge of the room or attempt to carry out tasks that you as an RN are supposed to do? I do love having help, but we have one FA who hijacks my tasks and gets upset when i do not do things the way they would and attempts to instruct me on how to do my job

Have you ever had to deal with a loud upstairs neighbor? I’ve only seen her once and it’s been over a year but I hear her literally every day. This girl has never taken a ballet class in her life and it sounds like she walks with bowling balls strapped to her feet. I’ll be deep in sleep and REGULARLY get woken up by what sounds like furniture being moved around. How do you approach this? It’s been very negatively affecting my sleep.

Hi! I am currently an Early Childhood Teacher, but I am interested in becoming an Early Childhood Education instructor at a technical high school. It will be a big jump from teaching K to teaching high school students but I am really excited about the possibility of working with the next generation of teachers. Class size is a big deal, in NY a new piece of legislation was signed to bring down student count per class from 34 to 25 over the next few years. How big are your CTE classes? In NYC, they’re typically about 28 students.

This summer I will be teaching the two courses required to gain the extension certificate to be a New York State certified Work-based Learning Coordinator. Is there a requirement for additional training to become a WBLC in your location? Is it part of an existing CTE teacher’s responsibility or something else? Do you need a WBLC for your program approval?
