What’s the best approach for moving from ACN Strategy to MBB? Does being a consultant from a strong practice in ACNStrat make me a competitive candidate for experienced hire as a consultant, or would I be best suited going for an MBA first/apply at Analyst level?

So I left my medical interpreter job back in February due to differences with management and I’m working to make the jump to another field such as Higher Ed and/or Tech. One that I’ve been particularly interested in is Amazon (corporate) but I have no idea how to make the transition there. Any recommendations/tips?

I want to exit to MBB but if that’s not a possibility what are the next best consulting firms? Looking for at least midsize firms (non-boutiques).

Any of you successfully transitioned from consulting to AWS? If so, would you share your experience?

Just cannot get into my job lately. I don’t know if it’s the hormones, the upcoming FET transfer next week, or if I’m truly just over my company. I’ve been there 5 1/2 years. I started out as an executive assistant and last year I created a path for myself for communications. Almost a year into the role, a new manager was brought on, to my surprise. Mid-level associate at a mid-size regional insurance defense firm practicing coverage litigation. Salary is capped b/c my firm only does I.D./coverage and has no direct-hire comm clients. Second round of interviews with a comm lit boutique where I would be the only associate with 5 partners. Other than partner track, salary/benefits, and switching from coverage to general comm lit, what qualities of the move should I be thinking about as I weigh my options? Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad.
