When you do an internal transfer, do you typically get a salary change

Make 70k right now and I work in trc as an associate and I’m about to eclipse the first year mark. If I plan to be looking elsewhere for the next opportunity and want to transition to MC, what comp should I be aiming for?

Small firms need a reality check on salary expectations. Used to work for midsize firm in nyc got laid off and found a new firm. The offer was much lower ( 45k diff) and back to less than 6 figures but given how long I was searching i accepted the role. There is a promise to have a discretionary review at 4 month mark to bring me at 6 figs, but still would be a 30k delta from last firm. I'm working 8 hour days, no billable requirement in litigation. Need advice: After doing some research and discovering my market value, I have discovered that I’m being way under valued and underpaid compared to my new coworkers that are coming into the workforce. I just got an offer for a promotion and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to ask for an increase. After going back-and-forth I was told the most they can do is a “salary equity evaluation” am I in the right to ask to get a copy of that evaluation once it’s completed?
