Hi Sharks,
Anyone faced below issue?

Hi Fishes, I've accepted offer from Accenture from their portal.. But now got new offer from EY and wants to join at EY. So how can I tell Accenture Accenture India that I'm not going to join them. Rather than not showing up on the date of joining? Can you please guide me? How do I let them know? My talent coach is not reachable

[query] Is it a good idea to say a firm No due to medical reasons to a new night shift project I'm hired in?Accenture
I recently got a night shift project (2 days ago) that requires me to work from 10:30pm till 7:30am
I'm not comfortable with these timings and I'm thinking to ask my manager to put me on Bench (Due to medical reasons that involve mental health)
Is it a nice idea to say a firm No to a new project I'm hardlocked into, due to night shifts?

As much as I would like to think so, I am not indispensible at work. I usually limit vacation to 5-7 work days. My team is good about covering each others' phone calls and tackling any urgent issues that might pop up. Anything really urgent is handed off to the manager. Usually any issues that do pop up can wait for a few days. This type of teamwork helps make the return to work less of a nightmare and lets us enjoy our time away rather than dread going back.
We do usually have some plan in place to help each other out more to cover somebody who is on vacation. That way they aren’t falling behind and then scrambling to catch back up. Typically it isn’t a big deal, and we don’t feel guilty over taking off for a week or so.
Well in a perfect world my work would be handled by some of my colleagues. However, because everyone is so busy that rarely happens and I almost always end up doing work on vacation. I do try to help out when my colleagues are ooo though.
I need to get better at this. I try to provide adequate coverage and then some for those going on vacation, but with a few exceptions over the years I usually end up handling my own work when I’m on vacation myself. It takes so much effort to train someone on certain tasks or reports that it’s easier to just quickly do it on my own in a few minutes between margaritas than taking days or weeks to walk someone else through what is often a complex process.
