28th Jan(after 2 days) is my joining date in one of the organisation.. meanwhile I get a call from one of captive company for final managerial discussion scheduled for today itself.
I doubt they can release offer in just 2 days if all good, having said that tomorrow is holiday.

As things start to open up fully, some of my institutional clients are sending notices that we are expected to do X activity over zoom from here on out (things we used to do in person). Clearly it’s a cost cutting measure. This is twice now in back to back weeks my boss has asked me where the disconnect was in our communications because I didn’t deliver on what “was asked”, even though I know damn well what was asked and what was done were the same thing. A director in another unit wants to meet me to “continue a conversation we started last year”. He is referring to the time I had asked him if there were openings on his team. Completely and totally miserable at my firm and just need a space to vent because my friends are tired of hearing about it. New to consulting. Mgr told me to put together a work plan for a proj. What does she mean? Key activities and timelines or is there more to it? Any recs on how to put together a good work plan deck?

Our firm told everyone no bonuses this year due to the pandemic. However, people like myself with high utilization received a “bonus” in terms of a gift card. My director notified me of this, but the other day my boss was mentioning how no bonuses this year really sucks. Like in Dec and March you will see less requirement due to Christmas and financial year ending. Similar what is the best period?

Because in my previous switch, 15 days were wasted due to Christmas and in March lot of requirements went on hold due to financial year ending.

My #1 peeve about agencies is the old school habit of emailing everything. The most efficient offices leverage task/mgmt platforms to manage workflows/bandwidth. Crowded inboxes of nonsense = WASTE.
