What age is the oldest working creative you know of? Especially if just a senior creative level, not a cd. Not looking for names, more curious about an age and an agency. I know of a few 50+ but curious if there are any 60+ still in it. Bonus if they’re doing great work.

Just had a moment of clarity and reflection about my job. Moved to NYC just over a year ago. Grinded at a shit hourly job and then finally landed a job at way above the salary I was expecting. Brand new client, first PM job since interning in 2018. Helping to build a social team's processes and I've been unnecessarily hard on myself but this is a huge undertaking and our team is constantly getting better. Just a positive reflection in some hard times in a tough industry.

Question about negotiating when hired-- During negotiations would it be weird to ask for an annual review for promotion until I am promoted to senior producer? Usually people ask for vacation or salary but i'm more concerned about making a title jump and not sitting at the same position for three more years.

Got an offer from a great agency but the salary is actually lower than what I make now.
I currently work at an equally good agency but the crickets are chirping in the opportunity department.

I really want to get a chance to produce good work, but my current agency is known for paying sh*t. I would have to move with my partner to another country to get even less money for a potentially (never know) good gig...
Honestly, I am very lost and don't know what to do.

I’m in the process of background checking and negotiating salary. Yesterday I just got approached by another agency. Is it bad if I ask ECD at the first agency for more time to think about the deal?

Considering moving across the country for a new position (same title) which would include a 20-25% salary increase. They’d also cover moving / relocation payment which is great. It’s at a reputable shop in a nice city, and about 3-4x larger (employees wise) than my current agency. I’d love to hear opinions on this. I am only about 1.5 years into the industry (recent college grad). Thanks!

I just got a new job offer that is a good career pivot towards a specialty I’ve always wanted. The salary is a bit more than what I’m making (but not considerably more). Afraid of making this leap during a global economic downturn. I’m pretty safe in my current role, but I’ve plateaued and and have not loved the work for a while now (even got to switch clients and still not satisfied). Any thoughts on waiting out covid in a safe but loveless role vs venturing out in the WFH unknown?

Ogilvy leadership talk alot about transparency. I would love them to put their words into action. Lauren should come out and confirm that she did not get a bonus (the sad truth of the matter is that despite layoffs, revenue and margin declines, it would not surprise me if she did). OMD extended offer this morning. Tried negotiating, but recruiter informed me that the role’s salary was non-negotiable. Is this standard agency procedure? Anything else that can be negotiated?

Why are internal promotions less than a new hire salary? If anything don’t you think that you should be paid more for an internal promotion since you’ve proven yourself vs hiring someone at that same title with more pay who hasn’t proven themself?

Found out that the other AE on the team I work on is making a significant amount more than me. How do I approach my director about possibly increasing my salary to be equal? I’m expecting 3 offers within the next week: one verbal offer that is working on approval for more money, One where the recruiter is worried over the prospect of a bidding war (allegedly can make their recruiting firm look bad) and another that has expedited the interview process since they know I have the other two.

Potentially taking my second job in a mid market after 2.5 years in large market. I’ve heard this is the time frame for a decent pay bump (I’m in the high 60s now), but the lower COL basically makes it a lateral move salary-wise. Should I be negotiating for more or am I sweating the small stuff?

Questions about PTO -

I work for a start up agency, paid hourly bc it’s only me and 6 others and my boss sees it to be too expensive to put us all on salary, etc until we grow a little more. But because of that, I don’t get any paid time off. I’ve ask many times if we could work something out but it’s always “if i’m working i’m getting paid, if I take Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after off, i’m not getting paid” Is there anything I can say or do or do I just wait it out?
