I'm looking at entry level People Ops roles, and even though you don't need ALL required experience noted on the job post, I'm certainly lacking some of the foundation of HR basics, like HRIS experience.

I have been dealing with passive aggressive bullying for almost two years now from my “mentor” in my CFP journey and one of the three advisors for whom I am part of succession plan. Me 30F, her 62F. I can give specific examples, but frequent humiliation in front of clients and colleagues, leaving me out of meetings (not allowing me on the zoom), ignoring all forms of contact, trying to find mistakes, etc. I’ve tried addressing this with the male partners to no avail. Any tips?

Anyone know of firms with the Los Angeles area that help you and encourage you to attain the CFP? I’m finding it hard finding local firms that have career trajectory from Client Servicing to full Advisory work.

I’m willing to pay for self study and take local classes but would love and appreciate sponsorship.

Any advice in general for making the jump from more client servicing to advisory would be greatly appreciated.

Ideally I’d love to make my way towards either an Advisor or Strategist.

CFP study programs:

I'm a little confused on Danko - does he offer a self-study option for the coursework requirement? On his website it looks like each module has a 4-day virtual class which I wouldn't be able to attend due to working full time. Does this program also include self-study material, and the classes are just supplementary/optional? I was also looking at Dalton for self-study and Danko for test prep. Thoughts?
