When applying for an agency, will the recruiter/HR consider you for all agencies under the parent org or only the one you applied for?

2 months ago I was contacted by a recruiter who interviewed me 4 years ago at a different company and ghosted me. She clearly didn’t remember we’ve met before. So I did three interviews, talked start date and salary, got an offer, and ghosted her.

Looking to make a move from Corporate Finance to the Account-side of advertising (preferably pharma). With 3+ years of experience in fin, what level could I come in at (AAE, AE, SAE)? Any skills/certifications I should get before applying?

CDs: Do you view someone who went to Miami Ad School in a more favorable light in terms of willingness to look at someone’s book or interview them? Or is it really not that big a deal if someone didn’t go there?

Has anyone gotten a job offer two months after interviewing?

How should one handle a strategy test for an interview and providing past client strategy example? The interviewer wants to assess thinking skills but looks like the test is for an existing client of theirs and I’m cautious of providing a recent strategy deck from my current place of work for an existing client.

Interviewing for a strategy role and meeting with the Account Director of the client I would be on. What should I do differently to prepare than if I were to meet with someone on the strategy team?

A tech firm reached out, and I had a 30-min call with a CD. Went well and I agreed to more interviews. Turns out the next round is a “4-hour panel WebEx interview”. Their creative dept isn’t well established, so is it wrong for me to politely say “4 hours is a big investment, can we briefly chat about salary range, title, etc”? I kinda don’t want to go down this road for a lateral title and who-knows-what salary. If it was a better-known in-house shop, I’d go with the flow.

I’m interviewing at a company next week that I have interviewed at before, but never got an offer. I’m planning on not bringing it up, but what do you do if one of the same people interviews you?

I had an interview last week for a Jr CW job. All went well it seemed. The CCO’s exact closing words were “You’re gonna have a great career. Your ideas are good”. Additionally, a CD there I contacted on LinkedIn said the CCO liked my book. But he ended by telling me they’re still getting things sorted out and to follow up this week. Don’t know if this is a bad sign I won’t get it or if I’m just being insanely impatient and unrealistic.

shooting a series of videos for a spirits client, with creative centered around “talking head interviews” and mixologists creating a few cocktails. Will be internal sales team-facing as opposed to consumer/brand creative. wondering if anyone has recommendations for a solid production partner in the NYC/Brooklyn area for the shoot (and potentially edit) that could keep a 2-day shoot somewhere in the $40k range? I had an interview a couple of weeks ago with an agency's CD. The interview didn't go well tbh. He seemed bored throughout.

Anyway, I got a call from the HR today saying that CD's feedback was good but I don't have the relevant experience.

The same HR had initially reached out to me on Linkedin. Is it that they didn't notice my inexperience or was that just an excuse?

Anyone have experience turning down an interview at an agency you really want to work at but it’s for a client that you’re not interested in (and ethically opposed to)? Agency itself seems great just don’t want to work on the client. Ideally want to keep the door open if there are future opportunities on a different client.

I had an interview with a CD today who sounded bored and unimpressed throughout the call. The slot was for 45 mins but it was over in 20.

How worried should I be?

Anyone ever get the very end of an interview process, receive an offer, but then a dream opportunity unexpectedly comes your way?
