Thinking about applying to Bain; can someone give me a rundown of their ranks? And where they would compare to EY senior consultant (early promo track)? Thank you.

I work as an implementation consultant and my work is highly industry specific, utility billing for municipalities generally less than 20k accts. My position does not require any technical knowledge, only that I know the software well. As I look for other jobs (more just curious and not actively applying) I see that I am not a fit for much out there. I have no technical skills to accompany my IT degree because it’s been so long since I touched SQL. Have I siloed myself? Cont in comments.

What shall I do: the senior consultant I am working with is extremely condescending and borderline rude in the way he communicates with me (granted he is very qualified, but still rude e.g. he laughed at my input in a KOL interview...during the interview). The internal switch requires a normal interview 30' talk about motivations, strengths, ... And a case interview.

Some competitors search for 'creative' ways of tackling the first minutes of the 30' talk by creating eg. a video where others present the candidate.

How is this perceived by hiring managers, and if perceived good, what other ways are great?

Interviewed w/Google for Cloud Consultant in Chicago. Leveled at L5 and referred for approval and comp cmte. Recruiter provided midpoint for position at 160-170k TC. Seems low even for position/city.

Completed final round interview with Managing Director last Friday for a consultant position at Deloitte. Interview went very well but I have received no feedback since. Recruiter isn’t responding to my follow up emails either. Is this a bad sign? Any advice?

Is hiring an admissions consultant worth it if you have below average stats (~3.5 gpa, 324 GRE) while applying to a top 5 school (e.g. HBS) but have a good story (I was the first person from my small public high school to attend Dartmouth, athlete, tap danced competitively even though I’m a guy, lots of volunteer work, went through Y Combinator, and built a company from my basement to a $30M+ valuation). In round 1 I got a MIT interview, don’t know how it went because it seemed short.

1 year out of school w/ 6 months of experience doing contract work as an ERP consultant , currently working with a strategy firm (6 months ) ... liked the technical stuff way more . But both are startups and feeling discouraged because I can’t seem to land an interview anywhere in the industry for any type of entry level consulting roles . Got an offer from big firm but blew it because clearance process took too long . Should I give up and switch industries ? No idea what to do ...

I did my interview with kellogg last and I think I did well. The interviewer gave me good feedback throughout the interview saying my accomplishments were respectable, my answers robust, that I came off as very authentic, that she could tell I hadn't rehearsed my answers with an admissions consultant, and that I had faced challenges in life that most people applying to bschool hadn't.

I heard next my application + interview "score" will be reviewed by someone who hasn't already seen my app

Interviewed for an L6 Sr. Program Manager Position at Amazon ($175TC) and didnt get it. I was asked if I would be interested in an L5 Program Manager role ($130TC). Im not sure if I should take it, or hold out for something better.....I’m currently a consultant at a boutique firm making $100k TC. I have 5YOE and a masters. It would be nice to make an exit from consulting, but I don’t want to settle if I can find better.

Interviewing for a Business Transformation (public sector) in DC. Senior consultant position, 4 YOE - is 110k a good ask? Maybe a range of 110-115?

Also, Should I be asking more details about bonus before speaking with the team?bI already had first call with HR, should I wait until final rounds to discuss compensation?
