Currently a consultant and interviewing for an analyst position within FAANG. Should I go for a higher position (ex. Manager)? Currently making low six figure base in the SE. I have 4 YoE and came on as a campus hire.

How do you know if a promotion might be coming your way soon? Do you ask? Will your manager tell you? I’ve taken a few interviews and would would take an offer elsewhere, unless I knew that I might be up for a promotion (to manager level) soon. I’m a sr consultant about to hit 1 year at a boutique firm, with 5 YOE total and a Masters. If my firm promotes me I’d prefer to stay rather than the same position elsewhere.

Any insight or tips on first round at Deloitte (Phone screen with recruiter)....? Operations Transformation Consultant (Healthcare) role...going in with 5Y of industry experience. It would help to get insight on sample projects or typical interview questions!

Hey everyone, I applied at IBM for their GBS program and I have a final interview for their SAP practice. When I applied, it was for the business transformation and iX practice so I’m surprise that I was called for SAP. Right now I’m working in people and org practice at another firm, so I have few knowledge of what SAP consultant does and I know it’s more than only implementing SAP.

What kind of projects do you work on? Is it like process analysis with BPMN diagram?

consultant 🐠 - just had a final interview with one of the partners of a mid tier consultancy. In the interview, he didn’t ask too much about my skills and it was almost entirely fit questions and questions from me. the interview went for 40 mins and I had 2 interviews before this fwiw. Anyone every switched firms right after getting a promo? I’m thinking about this as a potential strategy to jump two levels in a short time. For example, if I get the promo to senior consultant next year, what’s stopping me from applying to manager roles at other firms 2-3 months after this promo?

Can anyone talk to me about their experience with Slalom Consulting? Years ago, I interviewed with them and it didn’t work out. Their benefits were okay-ish and during the interview for data analytics consultant position, I found it strange that they wanted to quiz me on simple SQL and Tableau features rather than how I used different tools to solve problems. 1+ year into my role as a business finance consultant with EY out of undergrad (non-target school). I’m looking to pivot to mbb and feel that I could perform strongly in the interview process but given my relatively pedestrian resume (by mbb standards) I’m worried the recruiters won’t give me a chance.
