PWC manager and senior manager: should I push for senior manager position with 8 YOE? Now I’m interviewing for manager position.

Would you ask a former supervisor (SM) from a prev project/mentor help you case interview? He is also a trusted mentor for me. Not sure if it would be harmful in anyway given we’re in the same firm.

For context, this is someone who has advised me to not hedge all my bets on ACN, and to keep my options open. He mentioned he’s looking to do the same.

Currently working at a T2 strategy house. I’ve been doing some LinkedIn searches and it seems like there are a fair few consultants who’ve exited into Director / Senior Manager of Strategy roles. I’m currently applying for Strategy Manager positions, because the more senior roles all seem to ask for 7+ YOE. None of the people I’m seeing on LinkedIn exited with that much experience. Am I underselling myself?

Has a company ever withdrew an agreed verbal or written compensation only to offer you a lower salary?

So I get a call from a Deloitte recruiter about an ERP implementation manager position. I interview with 2 SM and 1 Managing Director. The interview went well and recruiter gave me a verbal offer that was lower than my range, we go back and forth and then we finally agreed on salary, signing bonus and start date. Recruiter gets the Managing Director approval and comes back to me saying...

Any thoughts on Hashicorp as an exit opportunity? I've been invited to interview for a Senior Manager (Data Integration) position.

M at T2 (think OW, S&), with offer to join retail corp as SM with 15% paycut. Corp is a bit better positioned vs retail industry challenges but not immune. Have been extremely unhappy in consulting, contemplated quitting many times. Have spent 6-12 months seriously trying to exit and many interviews. Have gotten some mixed reviews of new corp (including bad WLB) and worried about taking a cut for this. Thoughts?

In a process of interviewing for a technical accounting manager job. Hiring manager told me that the position won’t have staff oversight responsibilities. So I feel this is a glorified senior accountant job under a manager title. The raise is decent 20%. Growth opportunity seems to be ok, 2 SM above me, one manager who has more experience, and 2 accountants that the SM oversees. It is technical accounting, so probably doing special projects etc. Should I take the offer?

Anyone know how much Capgemini pays (base comp) for a Senior Manager in SAP practice, specifically in Solution Design Center? I am currently M in Accenture and interviewing for a SM role. TIA!

What’s the level at MBB for an SM from Big 4? And any insight to the interview process?

I have aim interview with Booz Allen this coming Wednesday for a Business Intelligence manager/senior manager til. Any insight into how those typically go? I know that they schedule a two hour slot of back to back interviews with the teams that are interested in you, but have no further details. Hi there, I have recently switched jobs to a step role. As part of my role, I need to hire people across titles. It’s been a hit and miss when some candidates who were great during interviews turned out to dumb and vice-Versa. Irony is my colleagues are very proficient are picking at right candidates, is there something I am starkly missing. Specially lots of miss for Senior Manager Delivery and Scrum Master.

Have a 2nd round interview tomorrow with a senior manager that I haven’t met yet. Would it be strange to ask him some questions about his background (found them on LinkedIn) during the interview? I want them to know I came to the interview prepared

Interviewed with a company, had discussions with two MD’s, a senior manager, and a senior associate. Now the recruiter has not gotten back to me. Am I getting ghosted? I realized I don’t have anyone else’s emails from the company.

When I interviewed, I literally said “EY is the place I want to retire at” (and I genuinely meant it). When I was staff, I thought I would quit after I make SM for a few years. Now as a Senior 3 everyday - “I hate my job. I won’t get promoted to Manager next year. I hate my life. When can I quit??”

Would it make sense to wait for a promotion next year from Strategy Manager to Senior Manager before applying to Google with 12 YOE or Google doesn’t really bother about external titles? Want to consider L6/L7roles if possible but not sure if I should wait and if my aspirations are unrealistic.

SM and D 🐠: when you interview a candidate with 9+ yrs of experience for a technical/leadership role - do you expect them to know the definitions of “objects” that they learnt as basics a decade back? or do you give them scenario based questions that solves clients’ problems? Genuinely curious.

What questions do you typically ask interviewers when interviewing for senior manager equivalent roles? All the tech companies have 6-7 rounds, I run out of good questions to ask.

Had a verbal offer with EY in late March, right before hiring freeze. Recruiter was responsive to check-ins up until early June, saying I was on the list to reach out to once things start moving. She’s been ghosting me over the past few months.

My undergrad was in CS at a private school and I’ve had no Cyber experience before big4 cyber work. Should I let my SM/P or anyone know about this? I’m scared of my team leadership finding out if the recruiter reaches out to my client team. 3rd year M at D. Been involved with IT strategy and end to end large scale custom dev work. What sort of roles should I target when applying for big tech.. please share some insights. Product manager roles are just too standard of a reply that's applicable for a C to SM. How to approach for the type of roles being offered.
