1+ year as an audit associate. Looking for an out before then. Interested in fund accounting & financial analyst roles primarily. However, will still be interested in any fully remote (40hr week) accounting positions. Anyone hiring?

I might have an interview with BCG London for a Senior Associate position soon. Just got a referral and submitted my cover letter. Any tips to prepare for the interview (kind of cases, what fit questions I can expect, number of rounds and turnaround time etc.) would be really helpful.

Hi. I have 20+ years of experience both in consulting and in-industry. I have a contact at McKinsey that I connected with that is willing to make an introduction/referral for me. A few questions: 1). What level should I be targeting. I’m willing to take a lateral to a degree because. . .well, it’s McKinsey, but I don’t want to come in too low salary wise and somehow undercut the value of the experience and the roles I’ve already held (VP/DVP). Working in public accounting as a associate and a recruiter reached out on a position as a analyst. I normally ignore them, but this time I asked about the pay.

They said they were looking to do about 80K, which would be a nearly 20K jump for me. Should I consider this move or stay in public? I keep hearing that public has the best growth long term so my fear is that switching to industry early will negatively impact my career.

Wanted to know if going from at Analyst at Deloitte to Senior Associate at KPMG was feasible. I have 1.5 years of experience working in a SOC before joining Deloitte. I wanted to come in at the consultant level but the recruiter insisted on coming in as an analyst. I have been at Deloitte Cyber for a 1 year now & it has not been a good fit. So 2.5 years of cyber experience & a Masters in CS from elite school… is it feasible I try for a Senior Associate role at KPMG in cyber?

Don’t have the official letter but got verbal confirm from McK. Not sure about future career path but worried about the perception of solution path when trying to leave consulting in 2ish years. As far as I know, solution is client facing and working with banks. Any advice appreciated!
