I have an upcoming Interview with MD within salesforce practice at another big 4. This is my second interview for this position. Super nervous and don’t know how to prepare for the interview. Any help or guidance would be tremendous.

Client facing Managing Director or internal Managing VP. If you had to make the choice for industry exit, which would you choose and why?

Does McKinsey and BCG go for external hires for the “Principal” role (level below MD/Partner) Or is everyone home grown at this level.

Currently interviewing for a in-house strategy role, had a case interview and behavioural with a manager and two SMs in the team

Now I have two more interviews with the directors in the team, and then if successful with the MD. What exactly are these interviews about? Is it just more behavioural questions?

My MD offered me an expanded role with more responsibility, that he said he would make official in a week right when January started. Since then, he went quiet. I was drowning in work in Jan-Feb and did not follow up on it. I met him for a 1:1 in February and I did not bring it up then (my bad, I accept). I have my March 1:1 coming up and will be bringing it up then. But it bothers me as to why he offered something and then went radio silent. Have I lost the opportunity? Anyone seen this before?

Looking for advice- On a one deep project with a Managing Director as top cover one day per week. Project ends end of April. I accepted a role with a new company and plan on 30 March being my last day. Should I just give my 2 weeks and bounce, or should I give extra notice so they can find someone to replace me? Staying on longer than April 1 is not an option

Hello Deloitte PPMD 🐠, I spoke to a D PPMD recruiter recently for possible opps with D. I was told that most of the people at this level will come in as MD, with a possible path to Partnership. Was told that comp is the same.. MDs at D are different then other B4s and they are compensated differently the other B4 and can make $1M or more. Does this sound right to you? I am 25 yoe, at svp level, over 500k tc. Should I even explore an MD role at D? My Preference is for Partnership track. Thanks.

I am interviewing for a Senior Manager position at Accenture. I understand SM go straight to Managing Directors at ACN. Any advice on things to ask for so I can make sure I’m on the right trajectory to MD? Also, what should I be asking for — do they have a “partner track” or anything?

does anyone have experience exiting after 1 year? any vengeful MD stories? my MD knows a lot of people and i’m scared if i interview or exit to one of these places that he has a connection at he might try to mess with my career...

MD (not direct manager) but work alongside them closely knows I’m unhappy and frustrated with role/comp. Has offered to be a reference if needed for external search. Some what rhetorical, but should I trust this person or should I be lips sealed until I find the next seat? Gut leaning toward stfu-ing

I got an offer from D, Sr. manager position. HR emphasized that it will take me 4+ years to get MD / partner level. Is this valid or is the HR just setting my expectation level low

I have a fifth and final interview this week for a director level role at Blackrock. It’s with the hiring manager, who I’ve spoken to before, and a big MD. Any advice for this last meeting? I really want the job.

Was contacted for a Managing Director role in commercial real estate and was asked for compensation expectations. Very few data points I could find on the typical sources Glassdoor Etc. Any idea comp ranges at this level / industry? TYIA

I’ve just went through a very tough interview process at a top BB - the hiring MD wants to call me tomorrow. Is this a good sign?

Additionally, I’m also recruiting for a top PE shop. If given the chance, I’d perhaps take the PE offer, but am afraid that if I receive an offer from the BB, it may expire before I finish the process at the PE shop.

How should I respond to a (hopeful) offer given by the BB tomorrow?

All the viewpoints here seem to be about equity Partners. How does it differs for an MD? For instance MDs at EY get performance based bonus and higher pay. But it seems like an exec position with higher pay expectations, which I can get at industry. So should I switch firms to get partnership if my current firm can only offer MD to me ? And I want to be partner

I just received a verbal offer from Cognizant’s ATG division for a Salesforce Consultant position. However, I only have the Case Interview and the MD round left for a Sales Performance Management Consultant position at Deloitte. If you were in my shoes, what would you do?

For a senior role (Principal, MD) when do firms typically do reference checks-Before or after extending an offer? In conversations with a PE firm and it’s going well. The founding partner said during the in-person meeting they really like me, have gotten positive feedback from every partner, and see a good cultural fit. Wonder if this means they’re close to extending an offer or is this typical to say and could still lead to no offer

I had an interview with the hiring manager (MD to whom I will be reporting, if hired)

It's been 2 weeks since then, I have not heard back from the HR or hiring manager, should I be worried and who should I send a follow-up to, HR or the Hiring Manager?

Went through the interview process last Jan with another firm (had a referral). Made it past all of the interviews and in early March was told I would be receiving an offer. Then covid happens and at first it was a holding pattern from the recruiter then silence (have been no openings posted since). Loved the culture and it felt like the perfect fit. Still have the contact from the SMs and MD who interviewed me. When do I shoot mg shot? Wait for there to be an opening? Just so bummed.

Does Accenture HR have the final say in consultant salaries? The hiring manager (MD) supported my salary negotiation and asked me to request through HR. Then HR told me No. The MD can't do anything.
