Hey all, transitioned from the military last spring and got a UX product manager position at a bank.

Pay is good, but missing the mission aspect of work. Have interview offers from Microsoft and Amazon for cleared PM work, but most of them are less product manager work and more adjacent program work.

This might just be grass is greener thinking, but would love to hear if you have made the transition if you enjoy cleared PM work or do you wish you stayed in the non-cleared space?

I’m a first year litigation associate and have felt depressed for the past six months largely due to work. I landed what has been my dream job for years - a position at a music law firm - despite having no experience in the industry and no transactional background. My parents think I am committing career suicide by leaving Big Law so soon and working with non Ivy Leaguers. My professional life at the moment is far from ideal. I’ve been on quarantine (long story, but a good one) for the last seven years. Royalties from my books don’t pay the bills. My entrepreneurial pursuits remain hampered. For the interim, I’ve been looking for a remote opportunity where I can leverage my skills in marketing, sales, social media, and elsewhere for a decent sum. I have a social media presence which, in recent years, reached millions. There has to be something exciting I can do.

C3A grade employee in tcs. I have an offer from a company for onsite role and placement is in UK as permanent employee but the role given in offer is an entry level one. With almost 11 years of experience, is it good to accept this offer only for the on-site opportunity?

I saw some sales managers discussing hiring strategies, especially for entry level roles (e.g. SDR, BDR).

One strategy that came up was having the applicant do 90 minutes of cold calling into real prospects with the hiring manager coaching.
