Completed final round interview with Managing Director last Friday for a consultant position at Deloitte. Interview went very well but I have received no feedback since. Recruiter isn’t responding to my follow up emails either. Is this a bad sign? Any advice?

So I get a call from a Deloitte recruiter about an ERP implementation manager position. I interview with 2 SM and 1 Managing Director. The interview went well and recruiter gave me a verbal offer that was lower than my range, we go back and forth and then we finally agreed on salary, signing bonus and start date. Recruiter gets the Managing Director approval and comes back to me saying...

Can you give me a sense of what a 4th year partner / managing director can expect at a B4? Role is mostly strategy and operational design in financial services. Looking for salary and bonus range.

What is being an MD at A&M like: 1. What is the leverage ratio? 2. Owner or a salaried role? 3. Compensation range? 4. How often do you hire laterally at this level, and from where? Thanks in advance.

But his company’s titles are more like banking, where the levels are: analyst<Manager<VP<SVP<Director<SD<MD<C-level. Deloitte question: I was told today that i am “in”and that the business case is being made for my hire but the P&L owner of the business has approved me already, business case and subsequent conversations are more networking and less interview screening. When will I get a verbal offer? what’s the timeline now? a month? 3 months? P/MD role.

Choosing between three firms , role is tax manager all are same pay. What’s the best choice? :

1. Local firm $15mm in revenue, really clicked with the MD. Seems like it would not be hard to make partner

2. Local Firm $7-10mm revenue, 4 partners , 2 retiring soon , MD is a saint

3. Regional firm $67mm revenue , 350 employees. Option to work remote fully, could live anywhere , just have to go to the office 4 weeks a year (could move to LCOL area and invest in real estate)

Is it possible to exit to pharma/biotech companies without an MD or PHD? All the alumni I can find on LinkedIn seem to have a science background in the usual corp strategy and biz dev roles. Are there other parts of the org I should target? I am a post-mba consultant.

Hello, I have been with my firm for 10 years and now starting to look around. I see a MD role with KPMG, anyone willing to refer me? Can you be referred for a MD role? TIA

Leaving while in MD pipeline for a VP Role? Smaller client, but executive role at a public ally traded company, but in an industry I wouldn’t want long-term. Not planning on being in consulting for life, but have looked at SMs who left our firm and seems like those who leave at MD go much further in careers (realize some is talent aspect).

Question: Theoretically, what kind of raise (percentage) or benefits would you need to leave a role where you have *relatively* good work, a good team and great work/life balance, with the consideration that money, location and family/personal affairs aren’t issues? My MD is pushing for me to get a 15% raise in my current role, but I know I’m worth at least 35% more than my current comp.

I’m in a really good position at my firm - leading sales, huge internal initiatives, have greats sponsorship to make Managing Director in the next few years and have a good upward career in the structure. While I have thus far been very successful with sales, the “way the sausage is made” around selling, over promising, solutions that don’t align with my personal world view (ie unneeded mass labor reductions) are starting to chafe.
