I’ve been through 5+ weeks of interviews with a company that will IPO next year and they did a bait and switch on me with the offer: it was advertised as “Head of” and then during the offer-walk-through-meeting today they said “oh btw we changed the title to ‘Senior Manager’ for this role”. They offered me a salary I made 4 years ago as a manager. They offered stock options with an exercise price TBD 1 year from now…which is when they’re hitting IPO. Is that normal for stock options?

I’m interviewing a senior tax associate position at BDO, 2 years prior big 4 experience. What salary should I be expecting? LCOL like 80~85 index.

SOX - I’m senior associate and applying for accounting manager role that talks about being involved with SOX requirements. Is this difficult or is this easy to learn?

I'm looking to get into an ER mid leadership role with an international company (I want to investigate, travel and I speak Portuguese fluently), but I'm having a hard time breaking in. I'm overqualified. I'm an attorney who practiced employment law before my now 7 years of inhouse HR. My skills are a great asset for an ER role, but I'd be reporting to someone with less education, which I don't mind. But recruiters think they do. Any advice from my senior HR pros?

Starting as an associate after going to get my masters degree (worked in sales for 2 years following undergrad). Did not realize nearly everyone in my hiring class is about 3 years younger than me. A friend said that I should have been brought in as a senior associate, but I’m not sure if I’m qualified. Did I settle? Or should I be grateful for my current role? IBM is offering me the position of Test Specialist with 7A band but it has offered the position of Senior Consultant with 6B band to my friend.

We both are having 6 YOE in Testing and have been tagged to the same project in IBM.

Then why this difference?? Am I loosing out on my designation?? Or is my friend loosing out on band??

I am java fullstack developer & received offer from IBM for Senior systems analyst role, Band 07b.
Is it equivalent to tech lead/architect or Individual contributor or depends on project to project basis?
