What is the salary for a staff attorney at K&L Gates?

Offered Accounting Advisory job as an experienced associate in a MCOL? City, 65K base 5k bonus. Seems super low considering as a staff 1 in audit we got 62K.

They said they would talk to the partners and get back to me but seems like a super low ball

A investment management firm looking to hire me to do a/p and other staff accountant duties. Pay is 70k plus bonus. It’s Located in the city. Should I negotiate more? Is that city salary for someone out of college? I’m located in New Jersey.

I know it's all part of the business model, but anytime someone is "acting senior" on a job, the firm is taking advantage of you (more than normal lol). Can you imagine any other job saying "hey, we're going to give you a ton more responsibility and tasks for oversight, but not pay you anything additional or factor it into your raise". You'd say "No, we need to adjust my compensation to align with my new job description"... It would take every staff to collectively say no for anything to change

Anyone know what bonus/salary increases for a Staff 2 to Senior 1 look like at Deloitte or PWC? EY saidddd it should be comparable to competitors but have given us limited info

What is a reasonable salary expectation for a Chief of Staff role for a Series B start-up which has been operating for >10 years? Need to set my expectations prior to diving in.

With so many companies hiring staff in remote locations, how does that impact a recruits ability to negotiate salary that reflect cost to live where they live? Let’s say the recruit lives in a big city with a higher average salary than the company in a smaller more rural area. Is the company obliged to offer a rate higher than they would for a local employer? And if they don’t take higher cost to live in negotiations, why would someone take they offer?

Offer: 110 tc for a Sr role at a smaller florida Healthcare company. Currently run by PE, planned SPAC soon.

Current: staff 2, ~75k in data analytics in northeast.

I think the move will be nice and also it's a nice comp increase. However I'll be getting promoted soon, and worried that jumping to a smaller company will hurt future prospects. Thoughts?

What is everyone's experience with vacation/sick leave? I work at a Plaintiff/general practice firm (Less than 10 attorneys/staff). Office manager/HR tracks vacation and sick leave (they are separate, cant use sick leave for vacation and vice versa) It is tracked as hourly vacation (though we are all salary) I took 4 days (32 hours) of vacation and I worked the whole time. I had to battle for her to give me some hours added back to my vacation. Seems wrong to me. Any thoughts?

Anyone ever consider a different career path? If so, how did you actually make the switch? My heart has always been in teaching, favorite part of my job is when I teach staff. I always get great comments from those I’ve mentored. But its not enough and I find myself seeking more of that. Thinking of making the switch to HS Teacher. My husband is not happy about it and is trying to be supportive...my salary would be cut in half and our lifestyle would be different. Anyone face this dillmenna?

Performance review conversations take place twice a year and not connected to the comp conversation. I am looking for a way to ensure the comp. conversations feel less laborious and tedious. Some recruiters are f**king clueless. I made it clear what my salary expectations are and then they try to push me into this staff accountant position paying 60k, which would be a 5k pay cut and I have 2 years exp about to be promoted to senior.
