Get a roommate. Life is fun with a roommate
I’d say get at least one roommate. It’s nice having random interactions with folks.
Also, I’d recommend Meet Up to find hobby and general social groups.
You can try Craigslist. I’m originally from Bay Area and did that a couple times when I was renting. Worked out fine, but just like anyone new you meet they could be great people but not necessarily someone you’d want to live with. I’d say it’s worth the risk to room with someone who isn’t that great though when you first move to a bed city. You can always move out after a year or so.
Wow this guy, I love it
Honestly, during a pandemic living in a big city, I would live alone. No guarantee you RM is a safe, clean, or overall a normal person.
But definitely agree with one of the people who mentioned joining groups for hobbies and such.
I moved to a brand new city right at your age with no network or connection whatsoever to the city. Getting roommates helped immensely in acclimating to the new city, making friends, etc.
You also have to work hard to make new friends as an adult but it is worth the effort. I made mine through sports leagues and would recommend the same if that’s your jam.
I am fan of the friends of friends situation. They don’t have to be your BFF, but at least you can have some personally vetting
How do you go about finding roommates?
I want someone to refer to me as a good lad
If you’re a girl use bumble BFF app. If your a guy join a sport teams, meetup, bars etc
