I had that happen to me I thought it was just part of menopause symptoms but I ended up in the hospital from passing out due to the blood loss!! It ended up being a large fibroid that grew on my ovaries it was awful because I had to have 2 blood transfusions and several tests done after I got out of the hospital! It's become dormant now and the bleeding is gone thank goodness!! Good luck to you I hope it's nothing massive!! God bless!🙏

Sorry to hear that. I used to have very heavy bleeding (I call it flooding) but not as long, probably 7 days or so. Doctor sent me to lab work and found nothing irregular so she blamed hormones change. This was a few years back when I was 52 or 53.

Thank you

I had an endometrial ablation due to heavy heavy periods. It helped.

I’m looking to leave my firm and expect to have some interviews coming up. How should I handle with my current firm as far as notifying that I will be taking a morning or afternoon off? We are fully in-office and I don’t know how many doctor’s appointments are reasonable.

Relatedly, is it reasonable to request interviews after hours or on the weekend?

Maybe this is the socialist in me but shouldn’t Moderna and Pfizer waive their patent exclusivity for their Covid vaccines? Don’t we have a moral obligation for the world to vaccinate as many people as quickly as possible?

It blows my mind that many countries won’t be able to vaccinate most of their people until 2023. There should be access to vaccine generics

New in TCS but couldn't understand PF procedure and it's deduction from salary.
I am paying PF of amount 2040 getting deducted 2 times from my salary 1st according to CTC and after salary is getting credited then again same amount is deducted, so my question is this correct.
CTC is: PF+ 76185
Salary is: 76185-PF.
PF: 2040 so it's getting deducted 2 times same amount every month. Before salary is paid and after.

Additional Posts in Menopause Bowl

Hi Ladies, just found this group. I'm 59 and post menopausal. Read through some of the threads and can relate to all. Glad to know I'm not alone.

Thank you for starting this bowl! I just turned 50. I had my one and only child at 41 and went straight into menopause. My symptoms were perhaps confused with postbpatrum and nursing hormone symptoms but bow my hair is dry and frizzy yet somehow also oily and my skin lacks luster and I gain weight so easily. Working from home for eight months has definitely hanged my body shape and not for the better!

I’ve been researching as I enter peri and I’m pretty convinced I want to try low dose birth control to regulate my symptoms. Anyone gone this route and if so what brand do/did you like?

I finally broke down and went back on HRT last week. I have been taking gabapentin for a nerve injury which I’ve learned helps hot flashes. I can’t tell a significant difference yet aside from maybe getting a little better sleep. I saw a new doctor (male) to get my prescription refilled and he seems to have a different philosophy than my last doctor (female). He wants me to be on HRT until 51, but after that he doesn’t recommend it. I hope by that age I’ll be off the gabapentin…

Just downloaded an App called MenoLife. It’s free (so far) and is filled with articles, recipes, trackers, etc. they also have products which I may look into. Anyone else try this brand?

Good Morning All!
I’ve been having some mental issues lately and have no idea if it’s due to my HRT.
If I take .75 of estradiol I still have hot flashes. If I take 1.0 I feel either numb or depressed constantly.
I feel like I’m bearing this battle alone as my Physician’s seem like experimenting with dosing is my only option.
I’ve also consistently done intermittent fasting for two weeks, exercise 5x per week, and am eating better all to lose a whopping .5 lbs. SMH

Once we get a few more members I had the following ideas for speakers:
1. OBGYN specializing in menopause/HRT from Duke University
2. Nutrition Counselor
3. Anxiety Coach
Does anyone have other ideas? Please let me know!!

Okay — diets & weight loss. What have you seen that actually works? I exercise almost daily but realize my portions and food intake aren’t perfect. I do not want to track cals or macros as that caused me to have an eating disorder. I have an OCD personality.

Does menopause cause eczema? I think this is what it is as I’ve never had it? But red blotches on my legs is the culprit.

Hi ladies, I'm in my mid 40s and I think I'm entering peri. I currently have a Mirena but I should replace it again soon, but one more will put me into my 50s(!!) and I was wondering if anyone here knows that they're in peri or menopause without having periods. Is there blood work or something to check? I definitely do not want to have another child accidentally. I've got 5 more years until my youngest is in college and don't want to start over again.

I am 52 I have been feeling so tired and when I was in my 40’s. I had a lot more energy. Now I am so tired after work - but I have 4 girls ages, 16-15-13-9.
