Stuff like this happens to me a lot and has my whole life. It’s literally just my face. I try to throw it back to them making it clear that it’s rude - I get a judgey look on my face and say “nope, I’m good, i think it’s just my appearance you’re commenting on. Are YOU okay?”

Usually I’m pretty upbeat but that’s not the point - should a man in an ECD position be allowed to even act this way?
Ugh! Just oozing with male privilege. I’m so sorry. I have a million nasty ways you could handle this. But probably the most productive way would be to ask him for a 1:1 and ask him if it’s ok to give feedback, and sarcasm in the form of feedback to your actual work only, especially when feedback is given in a group setting. Tell him that’s most effective for you.
I know you shouldn’t have to ask him if it’s ok - but if this incident is indicative of his (toxic) behavior overall, softening what you say will hopefully get you the objective you’re looking for.
