My wife is a family doctor, she is working insane hours, she is treating covid patients, and there is a lot of days when she has to stay at the hospital without coming home. My neighbour works in a local grocery store, so he has been at work since the Day 1 of lockdown. My previous manager would track us by hours daily, made a fuss everytime anything stretched and guilt us for that and the unplanned leave too unless it was COVID. Hinted him a lot of time, this is problematic but apparently he considered it "standard practice for agile".

Now 8/10 teammates have switched within < 1 year of project start (6-7 months with him) which tbh had good work in our opinion and even team was fun to work with even though none of us ever met in person.

Looking for a home office chair…I need something really ergonomic/comfortable but given the visibility of the office in the house the wife wants something stylish. She keeps calling all my ideas ‘gamer chairs’ even though they’re definitely not. Anyone have any chairs they really like that may be worth looking at? One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
