Any introverts out there who used to get terrible social anxiety and have been able to overcome it? I am grateful that this profession has pushed me to be a better version of myself, and if I compare myself to 4-5 years ago, I have improved enormously. Still presenting in public is not something that comes naturally and my lack of self confidence is still holding me back. Some of us have to work harder to achieve certain things. Any 🐠 out there who have been able to overcome this?

Sort of. Still get butterflys in my stomach up to the moment I have to be social or bring the spotlight to myself in a group of people (presentation, putting my ideas forward, correcting someone, asking direct questions, etc.).

Like you said, happy with the progress I've made over the past few years. That being said, confidence is no longer my stumbling block. If don't feel confident i learn up on whatever I'm afraid of to the point I can feel confident again. Not saying I'm try to be an expert but enough so I know I'm not making an absolute fool of myself.

If anything is holding me back its the inability to articulate SUCCINCTLY on the weeds of data I'm usually in. Can't keep it short without feeling like I'm losing detail.

Have you considered improv training? I found that helpful to think on my feet in front of an audience. You feel a bit ridiculous at first but slowly start to feel comfortable.

Thinking about the 'worst that could happen' scenarios and then having a good laugh about them. The audience is just people like you... many are introverts!! Imagine them sitting in the seats with only their underclothes or dressed up as farm animals. 🐓🐑🐄🐖🐣🐔🐥

Anyone has IBS here? Lately I have been having a lot of symptoms of IBS and even if I’m not fully constipated, I think I am to a certain extent. Can provide more details if needed, but if an employee is constantly coughing at work (small retail establishment), is it okay to ask them for a doctor's note stating they aren't contagious? They're claiming it's due to allergies, but I've gotten several confidential concerns from employees and customers alike due to the current enviornment.

I was recently (in April) fired from a good nursing position that I was at for 5 years. I reached out to my old ADON to get some information on where we had our vaccinations from and she told me that I should come back and the administrator that I had issues with is gone. Is this something I should even consider? I miss my patients and some of my coworkers and the pay is better, but I don't feel like I would really be welcome to come back.
