What's the salary range for a director at the Gilead Sciences foundation? There is a position perfect for me, but I don't want to throw my hat in the ring if starting salary isn't $180-190k. Also, any thoughts on the stability of their philanthropic commitment? There's talk of a recession; I don't want to go private to be cute a few months later.

I haven't really heard of any departments being bias against women. I think if you can get through all the training and have the certifications then you will be good.
My cousin is a New York City Police Office and she loves it!!!
In my experience, many women just aren't interested in going into the police force. With every training, the ration is like 10:1 with men to women
I don't think it's hard to get hired.. I am a woman that works in law enforcement. I will say it is harder to get ranked or put into leadership roles as a woman in law enforcement.
I think that the retention rate for women is low in our district. The background searches are the same as men
I thought it was okay. I set this kind of expectation so I will be forced to condition myself. Maybe I was indeed conditioned reason why I don't feel it was a really that tough.
Honestly, getting hired is usually easier, because most departments are trying to up their % of women on the force. Ranking up is much harder though!
Getting into this field is generally hard. It is way harder if you are a woman. The hiring process here is not lenient at all.
The hiring process is not that lenient but still reasonable in my opinion. I've been here for 5 years. Getting a promotion is much harder.
