Anybody still have children going to private school in person. Our 5 yo is in a Montessary where they had 3-4 COVID cases reported over the weekend. They are still keeping it open for now. We are wondering if we should send our kid. What are other parents doing?

Our kid is too young for school, but a good friend has pulled his kid from school.

His rationale is that he’ll wait till the govt takes the omicron thing seriously or he just waits it out till the numbers come back down. He thinks it will all settle down by Mid-Feb

He’s a doctor

We kept our kids out last week while things settled from holiday (travel, gatherings) and sent them back this week

My (academic) understanding of bonds is that I should be able to purchase a bond knowing exactly how much I will be making when it matures. Additionally, I should be able to sell the bond before its maturity date for a percentage of its value based on how long it has left to expire. Is that simply financial theory or is there a financial product and market place (for retail investors) that would allow me to do just that?

Consulting Baby Shower question - what was the best baby shower gift you ever received?

I am getting ready to send my 2 year old toddler to a toddler program next week for the first time. Have to fill out a form “bathroom waiver”, which is basically allowing teachers at the school to clean my child after a potty, including genital area. I feel uneasy about this but I know I have to let them… I assume all parents have signed such waiver?

Welcome all to parents in Consulting bowl, please post a little bit about yourself, number of kids and their ages!

How would you respond to this note sent home on my toddler’s daily report from her in-home daycare provider. Mind you she didn’t say anything to me in person about this. Plus my daughter started saying “no daycare, no friends” when we tell her it’s time to go / ask her if she wants to see her friends.

First time Dad and my 15 month old keeps running up the stairs at my in-laws place and they keep encouraging it. Stairs are almost 10 inches high with nothing underneath and I’m worried that he might slip and fall in between the stairs. Don’t want to fight the entire house full of people about this and kid enjoys it too much and cries a lot if I/we prevent him from climbing
