Anyone ever get strung along on interviews for a month to either:
A. Get the position
B. Get turned down
C. Get Ghosted

Ive experienced literally all three

A month? That’s like a Disney Fast Pass.

funnylike

Just got an ‘A’ last Friday, but have had a lot of ‘Bs’ followed by a few ‘Cs’.

Be angry, mad, whatever for the Bs and Cs for a day, then pretend they never happened and move on to the next.

It will happen, but you’ve gotta keep you head and stay in the game.

Aren’t those the only options

Just one month? I've had all these with 4-6 month timelines

likehelpful

Ouch, the latter is just disrespectful

like

My current position was A.

I’ve had both B and C.

helpful

B: 4 month process 🙄 including Interviews + a presentation of my IP.

funny

Yup. I typically ask for feedback just so they can say out loud that they really have none.

like

A month! Lol. Usually it takes 2-3 months from first interview to start date... my current position took 6.

like

My last one took 2 weeks. Maybe that was the red flag.

funny

Always C

Jobs, not tinder dates.

Yes more than a few times.

All three

A

I had an A that after 3mos “forgot” the salary that they had told me only to realize it was suppose to be significantly lower...

Of course.

Hey team! So I was laid off from my SDR position about a week ago. A couple months back, I had an offer for a BDR position that I ended up turning down but I really liked and connected with the manager. Is it worth it to reach out? I applied to other positions in the same company. What about reaching out to previous co workers at a different company? Not sure how to navigate this… please help. Also I’m sorry if this is the wrong bowl to post in.

1YOE medical device NPI Lead looking for salary perspective

Mechanical engineering grad, joined a medical device startup that I had done co-ops at. 8mo into full-time, pivoted from engineering into more of an operations role doing new product introduction (NPI), now with 3 direct reports.

The combination of startup+medical device+NPI seems very unique and I'm struggling to find salary comparables. Currently making 75k but it feels very low given my new responsibility and impact. Any advice?

Please suggest any good sources to prepare for data engineer interviews in GCP, Python, SQL, Pyspark. I have worked only in a few tools in GCP and done basic coding in pyspark and above average in SQL, but need to be prepared to handle all questions to grab some offer. YouTube has lot of resources but confused on which one to start with. I have an interview this Tuesday in another 2 days.

Hi all, looking for advice.

I'm a technical writer with background in the hardware and healthcare industry. What would be a better option for me, pivoting into software tech writing or project management.

Which one pays better/is better (any advice appreciated, must be fully remote role)

If software tech writing, does anyone have advice on how to break into a role or learn what it takes to become one?

For PM, I got a cert (not PMP) and am trying to decide which of these two I go with.

I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. I am wanting to shift gears and I am at a point where I can invest time in myself to learn through practical experience. The new industry I am wanting to pursue is real estate investment. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. How could I best leverage my skills for a role in this, and what should my expectations be for negotiation in compensation?

I'm considering applying for all the Contact Tracing jobs I keep seeing. Any clue what the pay is?
