Ashwaganda is ok but I'm not really a huge fan. Most of Ashwaganda's claimed effects are based on ayurvedic medicine which is great, don't me wrong, but I prefer allopathic personally. If I'm gonna use something herbal, I'll typically reach for Kava. I also like valerian as well.
Ayurvedic pseudoscience, and frequently contaminated with heavy metals to boot. Might as well try praying the ADHD away, it's just as effective but at least you won't get poisoned for the trouble.
Thank you so much for the great tip! I will as my doctor about this!
Where do you get it? I have never heard of it to be honest.
Looking at the comments and also recognize kava! That helps me too! I also definitely recommend rhodiola root! I have seen supplements but in a warm tea - game changer!
It's my first time to hear about the drug and I didn't know that there is an Adderall shortage going on. I just went to my doctor last week and she never mentioned about any of that stuff. Thanks about this post anyway, I can ask her about it the next time.
Never really heard of this. But I am looking into Adderall substitutes. Will definitely consult this with my doctor. Would you mind sharing ypur expwreince with Ashwagandha?
I've heard this before but didn't pay much attention. I'll research about this. Thank you for sharing, OP!
I'm gonna have to look more into it first and ask my doctor if it's advisable. But thank you for the recommendation, I'll be keeping it in mind. Where did you hear about it?
Re: the adderall shortage, i was able to get my rx filled through an online pharmacy called capsule within a day
Hey now don't be so quick to dismiss ayurvedic medicine. It has been around a lot longer than allopathic. It just...tends to be a little bit less evidence based. But I mean hey, a whole lot of people find yoga very healing, right? So I mean, not all ayurvedic stuff is dismissible as pseudoscience.
A lot of things have been around longer than modern medicine. Geocentrism, phlogiston theory, miasma theory, etc. Just because it's old doesn't mean it has merit.
Yoga is a real workout, and exercise is pretty robustly shown to have a wide variety of positive effects on health, including mental health. You'll get no objections from me for recommending yoga or other exercise!
