Been looking for a job now since last summer.

Had to turn down a dream role due to COVID. Interviewing during COVID has been hell. Just rejection after rejection. Should I just slow down? My current job is stagnant, but it at least offers stability and is pretty easy to do.

Specialist roles aside, such as digital, when you see someone describing themselves as a “generalist marketer” is this a resume you’d pass on? My past roles have been such that I do a lot of marketing projects, tasks etc. but I’m not a specialist. I’m worried if I use this terminology I won’t even be considered for a role. Thank you

2nd year junior attorney applying to new positions in the Southern California area. Every firm that’s called me to interview are smaller firms with salary ranges of 80-90k. So as we were the first to get hit with COVID in NY, we are seeing declines in numbers now. Travelers are cut short of their contract, our hours are getting cut, and staffs are laid off. Got a call yesterday from HR that now staffs need to file for unemployment to compensate for the lost hours. We risked our lives for this fight, now they are letting us go. Shit’s fucked.
