The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?

Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

The printer at my leasing office
I have had some Brother and some Canon printers, I like the Brothers better. I have a Brother 2370DW. The models with W have wireless / wifi printing support. It is compact and works just fine.
Sometimes the wireless print doesn't get to the printer but opening the print queue shows the printing is paused, at other times there is a mysterious delay. That's the extent of issues I have had.
I went with this because the ink is estimated to last 2 years - I was dropping $50 for a new cartridge every time I hit print before. Purchased in Jan. Works perfectly and happy it is white so it matches my office now.
Why get inkjet when Laserjet is way better quality and its generic ink cartridges cost about $10.

I have an epson inkjet as well. Two years now and haven’t had to change the ink (though admittedly we are not heavy printers). Aside from the low maintenance cost, the machine actually works. Every HP I’ve ever owned had driver issues, needed constant updates, and couldn’t withstand long periods without use.
