I love it when they IM and send a text… that’s the best.
That deserves a special ticket to hell.
Especially if your notifications popup on your laptop and phone simultaneously. There should be a feature to disable all of them while presenting.
Pre-pandemic one specific account lead would do this all the time on client calls, but IRL. She would mute us and speak over the client as they were giving feedback. Like, what?! Why???
Yes please! And if I don’t accept your invite because I’m in another meeting, please call my cell repeatedly to see if I can join.

I like when I quit slack before the meeting so I don’t get bothered and then forget to open it back up again afterwards
Why is this an issue? In Teams it defaults you to DND if presenting. If you’re not screen sharing then manually set it. Same on Slack—it isn’t rocket science. Protect your time.
BTW Teams you can set an auto reply. Such as “Heads down on xyz deck. If urgent please text otherwise I’ll reply in X hours.”
