Career advice please: my background: 2018 law grad, 3 years post-grad state judicial clerkship, and 2 years of commercial litigation + commercial real estate experience at a very small firm. Currently: I’m located in South FL and applying for transactional jobs. It seems that there are many litigation openings- rarely any transactional ones. Transactional attorneys- any advice on how to navigate this process given I don’t have much transactional experience (but want to gain more)? Thank you.

Thank you! Do you think that a contract position at a solo practitioner’s Trust & Estates practice would be helpful? The work would be focused on the corporate side of T&E’s.

Monday Morning rumination: unsolicited advise is criticism.

Much to reflect on with this topic. Last week I was told in a 1:1 with a new contact that I was “too direct”. After some time chewing on the conversation I was struggling to place the emotions I was feeling. Turns out I was feeling guilty and shame for being me, for taking up space. Lesson of the week: unsolicited advice is a criticism of you, a micro aggression of who you are, and being “too much”. What would you do??
