Unhelpful (but kind of funny) intel: litigated against BH once. The guy looked and talked like Joe Pesci 😂

I’m litigating against them now. Some folks are better than others, but it seems like a decent firm

This probably isn’t unique to them, but I knew one partner who had to leave the firm because the stress caused him to need heart surgery. Perfectly fit guy too! He’s in-house now and races Porsches every weekend.

Very familiar with the culture. Generally very laid back for biglaw but depends on group/office/partner(s). Midwest vibe. Not super “progressive” compared to the giant firms, somewhat old school, but good lawyers mostly. Happy to lend more insight.

Any idea the salary or min hours req there?

I am a graduating student who just got offered 65k for a solution analyst role at Deloitte USDC (Data Engineering Focus). From reading previous posts it seems to be a lot of negative thoughts surrounding the USDC, but straight out of college is this a good opportunity?

I'm looking to gain as much experience as possible out of college in an IT role and wondering what exit opportunities may be in place a year or two down the road if there is little/slow progression.

Any Advice?

I’ve recently started work at a very young tech startup. Coming from a big law background, this was a huge change of pace/environment. I’m having a lot of trouble getting used to how unstructured the startup is. It feels like hire ups give a set of instructions then talk as if they don’t remember, or then decided rules A, B, C and D applies without being clear this was the case. Is this just the general startup environment? If you experienced this before, how did you deal with It?

Does the addition of “(level) II” make a difference to anybody? I am the only marketing communications specialist for a lead child-welfare nonprofit. We oversee four counties in two circuits. Director recently gave me add’l merit-based raise (after my annual raise, been here 14 months) & slight title change to Marketing Comm Specialist II. Anyone else having trouble focusing today? Every time I have a long break and come back to the office I’m reminded how much I don’t like my current job. ID Associate and I have such a hard time concentrating even after a week off. I find it mind-numbing and unfulfilling. I’m never excited to come to work anymore for the past few months now. Just found out from a legal recruiter that I’m also way underpaid here. Hopeful I’ll get a job in a diff area of law or find another calling altogether.
