Hey! I’ve found it’s not a problem and there’s usually something on the menu, particularly if you just modify. American = meat and veg, sushi = sashimi and edamame, Italian = almost always has a salad on the menu. I’m pretty shameless about asking for modifications (my fav = avocado toast but no toast).

I agree with the above, you just can’t be embarrassed to have a ton of modifications. I find it pretty easy to eat keto at most restaurants. If you’re going to a common/chain spot, I’ve found that just googling “eating keto at _____” usually brings up modifications others have already thought of - sometimes they’ve even done the macros for you if you track those
Don’t need to tell the team. Just pick off the menu what works for you. As easy sometimes as - no rice, sub spinach please

I understand the hesitation, but I wouldn’t worry about it. I almost always find something I can eat. The truly hard part is turning down bread 😢
The other trick I use is to grab a snack before dinner (usually almond butter or a quest bar/cookie) so I’m not as hungry for dinner. That helps with the bread thing! And if I get stuck with a salad, I won’t feel as disappointed because I’m not starving
I also struggle with wanting to be part of the team and want to continue being included.
I agree that my difficulty is the temptation. You can also Google (keto + name of most rating places) and find a blog with suggestions.
