It’s LA the people are flakey unless you can get them rich
Same here data analyst same here
Meetup.com or any other site that organizes interest-based activities. Tennis, kickball, entrepreneurship, improv, book clubs, run clubs, etc. the list goes on. I’ve met a few different friend groups this way.
Running clubs! Tennis!
Finding hobbies and chatting to people in those hobbies is a good way to make friends:) Moved here a year ago and totally feel the same way. Tougher here bc everyone is driving
Same here , even harder in 30s
Nah
Lived here for 20 years, doesn’t get any easier. Met friends through interest in same activities, lasts for a bit but then people go separate ways. Unfortunately, I have no advice. It’s much harder when you’re out of school.
Born & raised here, but as EY mentioned people go their separate ways; our lives change. So as someone mentioned, try meetups. I can't stress this enough as I go through periods where my social groups change & get smaller & I know I need to meet new people to have a social life. I've been doing a lot of meetups the last month & will be going to one tonight. It has led to me meeting people who I have now hung out with outside the meetups including doing hikes, grabbing brunch & introducing me to others. Definitely give it a try.
