Does your manager ever have someone from another location fill In while they’re on vacation? Our store manager is on vacation and he asked another manager to fill in and his expectations for certain job roles go way beyond what our current managers are, and l am being run ragged.

After leaving my last job I heard from my former coworkers that when the manager took time off for paternity leave, the manager who was working in the store while he was gone fired a whole bunch of people. I wasn’t surprised in the least. She started working there about a month before I left and she was telling him negative things about me behind my back and I basically was pushed into quitting.

Nope! We refuse to ask for help. Everyone is trained well enough and we trust our team to be able to handle themselves.

Yes, if one manager is on vacation or out of the office, another manager is expected to step in and take over the role. But it always goes to another manager or supervisor. It’s not like someone else who doesn’t have management experience is expected to fill those shoes.

Sometimes we were one our own sometimes not it depended on what needed to done that day but there was a limit as what we could do in a day so we never were run ragged as such .

What holiday party did you get?
Anyone living close to an office, got a holiday party with food and drinks, and the venue started open for them until around midnight. Our remote workers got a one hour party w a DJ and trivia that let you win gift cards. Yeah it was nice to win a gift card but I found it lame in comparison to hanging out with my team in real life.

How does the holiday weekend impact your quota? Still the same? It's still the same for me, which I feel is unfair.

I’m a new associate to a T&E group, partner goes away on vacation and leaves me with a 706 to review and sign. The family is very wealthy. Decedent married for 60 years. Partner says it’s “just a DSUE election, decedent was ill for years, no assets.” Provides no records. Not even an admission the decedent owned a toothbrush. So I looked up the decedent’s home - it’s a joint asset. Partner was “surprised”, and still insists “no other assets”. I found file references to art and antiques.
