I took a long road to Big 4 as well. 10 years of IT technical stuff, then MBA, joined as Senior at 34, made Director at 40. To each, his own
Ignore S1 🙄 you are not too old - you will find plenty of folks in similar situations
Not at all.. as long as you think that whatever you do on daily basis adds value to your client and you learn something new everyday that makes you even more capable of doing your job.
Some people get promoted too early and become a staffing liability as they don’t have experience or knowledge to hold that position.
As you are coming from industry, I would assume your knowledge and expertise better in your subject area over someone else at your level. Consider this as your ‘tool’ to excel further and get onto next level.
We have Associate who is 32 y o so relax and enjoy the ride
Sound like a perfect candidate to get quick promotions
Don’t stress about it, everyone has a different journey! Live it , love it and own it!

I’m 28 as well. Hi!!
I joined as an experienced Associate hire at 33. Made Manager a few years later. Now on track for Principal.
Nobody cares about your age - just the quality of your work!
Couldn’t agree with more with Director 1 and others comments. We each have our own path. Do you!
Yeah, I made manager at 26
Not at all. I worked in civil engineering for 3 years after grad school too. Joined as a Snr associate when I was 26. Even if you're older than that it's fine
No, but consulting isn't for everyone and people from industry frequently struggle
I’m same timeline as Director 1. You’ll be fine.
